Wittgenstein’s Logic of Colour Space: Report by Elena Dragalina-Chernaya

On 12 September 2018, the research workshop "From the logical point of view" of International Laboratory for Logic, Linguistics and Formal Philosophy was opened.

Elena Dragalina-Chernaya, Head of Laboratory for Logic, Linguistics and Formal Philosophy, made a presentation “Wittgenstein’s Logic of Colour Space”. The report identified the evolution of perspectives of Ludwig Wittgenstein concerning the problem of logic of colour terms. The colour exclusion problem (“Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus”), phenomenology of colour (“Some Remarks on Logical Form”),  language games with colour terms (“Remarks on Colour”) were considered.
