Denis Fedyanin's talk "A Topological Approach to Formal Models of Beliefs".

Abstract.

The discussion will focus on certain formal constructions from the article Baltag, A., Bezhanishvili, N., Özgün, A. et al. "A Topological Approach to Full Belief." J Philos Logic 48, 205–244 (2019). No prior preparation is required, but it would be helpful if the audience is familiar with epistemic modal logic and the definition of topology as a collection of open sets.
